Gift Aid

To Gift Aid your donation, please read the statement below and tick the tickbox:

I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.

I understand the charity will reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 that I gave up to 5 April 2008 and will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give on or after 6 April 2008.

The address details that you have for me are my current home address details.

Your donations help

The Iona Community create a more just and equal society, a fairer more sustainable way of living on the Earth and a progressive renewal of the Church and its worship.

Your gifts are critical to the ongoing effectiveness and vision of:

  • Our work with young people

encouraging people to know “life in all its fullness” through personal growth, participative working and social and political engagement.

  • Our resources and publications

producing new worship resources and empowering local faith communities

  • Our Island Centres

bringing people from different backgrounds and with different perspectives together to explore common life and faith.

  • The Abbey Refurbishment Appeal

The Improvements will enable the Iona Community to provide facilities which match our hospitality. They will also enable us to extend the guest season, to welcome more people and to improve financial sustainability across the organisation. The rebuilding of the Abbey captured the hearts and minds of a previous generation. To keep alive their legacy we must invest in the future. I invite you to be part of this challenging venture. We seek your assistance to raise the £2.5 million required to undertake this project.

With a legacy

For the Iona Community, legacies are an enormous source of encouragement and help. They help to finance the many aspects of the Community’s work. And they also help to provide the opportunity for others to share in the vision that the Community represents to so many. A legacy to the Community not only helps in the present work but is an investment for the future, allowing for effective planning and development of new areas of service. Click here for more detail.
